CBP71057
I. Background

CCR5 (chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 5) is a receptor for C-C type chemokines MIP-1α, MIP-1ß and CCL5. CCR5 plays a role in the control of granulocytic lineage proliferation or differentiation. It also acts as co-receptor with CD4 for primary non-syncytium-inducing strains (macrophage-tropic) of HIV-1 virus.

Ⅳ. Representative Data

Concentration-dependent stimulation of intracellular calcium mobilization by MIP-1α in CCR5/Gα15/CHO and Gα15/CHO cells

Figure 1. MIP-1α-induced concentration-dependent stimulation of intracellular calcium mobilization in CCR5/Gα15/CHO and Gα15/CHO cells. The cells were loaded with Calcium-4 prior to stimulation with an CCR5 receptor agonist, MIP-1α. The intracellular calcium change was measured by FlexStation.
